Garnish your sweet tea with them!!
I’m sure you thought this would be another one of those serious, raw, brutally honest posts, you’ve come to expect from me.
But I want to take some time and lighten this blog up! And well I’m praying for spring, so hopefully sharing our favorite tea recipe somehow hurries that up!
So on to the tea recipe!
My favorite way to make tea is to sun brew it! (Trust me, I’m southern, I know sweet tea!) I like to start with a gallon jug, I prefer glass but a gallon milk/water jug works too! I add in at least 6 tea bags (any tea like Lipton works) and fill the jug a little more than 3/4 of the way full of luke warm or cool water. Here the hard part y’all: I then leave that thing sit on my porch all day in the sun! Once the tea has brewed and my water is a nice dark brown color I bring it in add in 1-1.5 cups of sugar and shake! Often times I will cut up a lemon and added it into a larger pitcher and switch my tea over! It’s really up to personal preference!
And Ta da! You have yummy sweet southern style tea! Let it get cold and enjoy in a mason jar while sitting on your front porch and you have yourself a whole almost southern experience!
